"HUMAN RIGHTS ASSOCIATION HELP CHILDREN"
Protection of children and women
from the war in Ukraine
About us
Ukraine is at war as a result of an armed attack by Russia. Thousands of houses were destroyed. More than three million people, including more than 1.4 million children, have been forced to flee their homes. Children at this time are experiencing untold suffering. Many IDPs do not have a place where they can feel safe again, provide their children with adequate nutrition and health care

Our DNIPROPETROVSK REGIONAL CHILDREN'S NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION "HUMAN RIGHTS ASSOCIATION "HELP CHILDREN" provides assistance to refugees, and we are currently taking care of women with children and the elderly people who have suffered in result of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine and have been forced to flee from their homes.
DRCNGO "HUMAN RIGHTS ASSOCIATION "HELP CHILDREN" was founded in 2005. Since then, the human rights association has provided assistance to children in need of legal assistance and financial support. Since the beginning of Russia's military aggression, the DRCNGO "HUMAN RIGHTS ASSOCIATION "HELP CHILDREN" has been headed by an anti-crisis manager and arbitration manager Oksana Venska.
With the arrival of the anti-crisis manager, arbitration manager Oksana Venska the complex of the Sanatorium "Pearl of the Carpathians", located at the address: Ukraine, Zakarpattia region, Mukachevo district, Karpaty village, has been transferred to the management of the DRCNGO "HUMAN RIGHTS ASSOCIATION "HELP CHILDREN".
There is a possibility to welcome and resettle about 1000 people on the territory of the sanatorium.
The sanatorium has specialised amenities, can be used for resettling, can provide meals and primary health care. It is possible to provide partial education and leisure activities to the children at Sanatorium.
Unfortunately, the actual condition of the buildings and the deterioration of communications does not allow to accommodate children in proper conditions.
There is no heating in the rooms, the use of electrical appliances is complicated due to the deterioration of electrical networks. In addition, communications regarding the supply of water to the housing complexes are partially destroyed due to absence of proper maintenance. This makes it difficult to adopt personal hygiene procedures.
Lack of working kitchen equipment does not allow you to cook on the spot.
Thus, at present, refugees can only be fed with food provided by volunteers and local people. However the food supply isn't sufficient. Despite this, our NGO is trying to organise reception, resettling and temporary housing for refugees, also we try to improve their living conditions.
We kindly ask you to provide assistance in repairing and re-equipping the buildings and structures of the sanatorium "Pearl of the Carpathians" to improve the living conditions, providing them with proper nutrition and medical care of refugees, especially children who survived the horrors of war.
We really need help to provide direct assistance to refugees.
Financial assistance is essential to the purchase and supply:
- equipment for cooking and distribution of food;
- equipment to provide medical care for refugees;
- equipment for washing common items (bed linen, tablecloths, towels, etc.) and personal clothing;
- construction materials, paint, electrical equipment and electrical wiring, plumbing equipment, pipes, taps, heating radiators (electric).
In addition, medicines, food, clothing, shoes, bedding, personal hygiene products is needed.
Apart from that, funds are needed to cover current expenses, pay for energy and utilities.
We ask for possible assistance in these issues in order to save the lives and health of children and others who have been forced to leave their homes due to the war with Russia.
